Various Models of Human Resources and Roles of HRM

Abstract
In this paper we will discuss the role of Human Resource Management in organization, the core competencies of my industry. The competencies we would need in near future. Then we will explore if these competencies might chance and the reasons. And finally we will see how Human Resource would evolve and remain viable. 











Explain the role of Human Resource Management in organizations today. Which competencies do you consider core for your organization and why?
In our organization Human Resource plays an active role in recruiting new talents. The HR finds resources and handles interview and recruitment to onboarding. During recruitment process HR often negotiates the salary with the candidate.
Once someone joins the organization, the HR arranges orientation and onboarding program for them. It is essentially training them about the processes and familiarizing them about organizational culture.  Usually, someone from HR would communicate the mission and vision of the organization to the new hires.
After that usually resources gets deployed to projects, and along the way, if they need some support or help regarding policy or benefits the HR would provide the help.
Our organization needs competencies such as talent searching, recruitment, onboarding, training or policies and developing policies and benefits for employees.
Which core competencies do you anticipating needing tomorrow?
I personally see recruiters often do not reach out to right talent. Finding someone with correct skillset is very essential. Every project needs certain skillsets, technological expertise, and while recruiting finding the right skill set is essential. And in a world where technology is always changing, we need resources with new skill sets. So training new talents to meet future needs and hiring talents from outside with right skill set will be very critical for the organization’s future success.
Training current employees to keep them updated is critical too. Retaining talents is another critical area where HR competency will be required. Organizational policies, benefits, career opportunities etc can help organization retain current employees. Being an HR subject matter expert will never go out of fashion as the competence of being objective, fair and knowing employment law, compliance topics will always serve employees very well (Merrel,2016).
Could these competencies change?  Why?
am working in this industry for more than 11 years now. And I have seen the introduction of new technology and tool and processes we follow in projects. So, I would say, the framework will remain the same but on a specific level, the required training might change. As new tools and processes get introduced the HR will have to arrange training on those for current employees or for recruiting they will have to find candidates with the right skill set. That is the only change I can think of.
There is another possibility that searching for candidates would be handled by artificial intelligence, in that case, HR will still have to handle the training and retraining of current employees and the recruitment process overall.
How do Human Resources functions evolve to stay viable within organizations?
With time, technology and social circumstances I believe HR has to evolve. For an example, when women started joining workforce human resources had to bring in policies that would suit women too. Ass society keeps on evolving the human resources division will have to remain contemporary and change its policies.
As more and more Artificial Intelligence replaces manual workforce in future, the human resource will have to be more human, they will have to be thought leaders, who will inspire employees, to be dynamic and define a change in the workforce. The human resource will treat employees as most critical for organizational success (Morgan,2017). I think making sure treating people/employees in a best possible way, protecting their rights and meeting their expectations, being fair to them and interfacing between employees and higher management would keep the human resources always viable in any organization.
